FUNCTIONAL ART

The urban environment is my playground and a source of raw materials for upcycling. While plastic is the most abundant material, it is not the only one. The challenge with recycling and upcycling is to make it worthwhile, requiring minimal resources for transformation. Creation means novelty, so any new item should stand apart from what can be seen on the shelves. While some predetermined shapes can move forward, new combinations and forms mostly dominate. The creations maintain a natural flow and balance, as well as simplicity and elegance. "Simply elegant" is the main signature emerging slowly from these creations.

LE SAC

Accessories are essential. Here a very sturdy bag for groceries. Composed of legs of jeans coming together at the base and various plastics. The advantage of a stratified corpus is that the sides of the bag fold like an accordion facilitating access and strengthened with the ribbons. The plastics and fabrics are sewed together with a coarse stitching and string.

BOUTON

Bouton is a stool with a plywood base consisting of two interlocking parts that can be easily dismantled. The top, originally from a 60s bar stool, can be removed and replaced with a tabletop to provide extra working space. The tabletop is secured by rubber bands, making it portable.

ANGELE

This small chair is a versatile piece of furniture. The top cushion is removable, allowing it to be used as a side table. Additionally, the chair can be tipped over to provide a lower surface level. The pillow can be attached if desired. The chair is primarily composed of plywood, while the white plastic originates from a hospital stretcher. The pillow is made from furniture bands, and the Velcro used is new.

VALE

This item can serve as a screen or divider. I am currently using it as a valet, often placing my jacket on it when I come home. The metal components are sourced from a trailer, while the wooden elements are crafted from recycled wood based on my design. The shape of the wooden base mirrors the upper part of the metal frame. The metal frame is designed to allow for additional features.

DAX

Dax is a versatile "table d'appoint" that can serve as an additional surface for your main table. It features a plywood top, Lego hind legs, and front legs made of melted plastic tubes. The upright tube holds rulers or pencils, while the horizontal tube accommodates other office accessories.

ARCTURUS

Arcturus is a side table composed of a wet floor sign and a drawer. The signs are pushed apart at the back but kept in shape using a tie.

SCREENS

This collection includes several screens or dividers that serve a functional purpose while also contributing to the room's design.

The first screen has two cement bases with an integrated metal grid. This metal grid can be customized with additional features.

The second screen consists of two large sheets of plastic attached to metal tubes with a wooden base. This screen is equipped with an LED strip.

TABLES

This collection features several tables designed for diverse purposes, with a primary focus on accommodating laptops.

The first table is equipped with a plywood top and various plastic attachments that hold accessories connected to a work table. Additionally, it includes an integrated light to facilitate reading activities. The elastic bands are suitable for holding other office supplies, cards, or papers.

PIECED WORK

Piecing together fabrics has been a part of my life since my late twenties. While I've traditionally kept my designs conservative, it's only recently that I've begun to integrate modernity into this form of expression. I enjoy exploring balance and harmony in diversity.. This is just the beginning...
