THE BLOCK

This project directly follows the Blob project. The Blob lacked structural integrity and failed to remain upright. Over a month, I tested various configurations for the Blob, with only one—the shrimpy position—proving successful.
The Block is constructed using materials similar to those in the Blob project. However, the bottles used for this project are more square than round. A unique assembly strategy was developed specifically for the Block. All units are connected with an uninterrupted 5-meter washing line. To assemble this structure, please follow the detailed plan below.

Figure
To create the assembly method, I used this figure. Different colours were used for each set of 4 blocks. Two sets formed one side, with 4 sides and a top side of 4 blocks (in orange).
There are multiple ways to thread a single line to assemble these blocks, but a "criss-cross" strategy helped maintain their positions from each other and created a stable contained 5 side structure. This assembly method would be ideal for containers. It's also important to choose your starting point, which was the top side in this case.
